The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center features over 100 meeting rooms, as well as an outdoor plaza. It’s home to some of the city’s biggest events, and plans are in place to expand it even further.

Macy’s at Herald Square
The "World's Largest Department Store" opened its doors in 1902; over a century later, it’s still welcoming visitors with terrific shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, an ice cream parlor, a Visitor Center, and year round events.
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts
The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, and New York Philharmonic all call this huge 16-acre building complex home. The Center boasts 30 venues, ranging in size from intimate dance theaters to the striking 3,900-seat Metropolitan Opera House.
This world-famous concert hall is a mecca for classical music lovers; it consists of three separate venues and hosts roughly 200 concerts a year.
Museum of Modern Art
MoMA is considered by many to be the world’s most significant modern art museum, with works by artists including Picasso, Lichtenstein, Matisse, and Monet. The museum also features classes, lectures, and an on-site store.
Part food hall, part upscale shopping mall, this block-long market in the Meatpacking District is a must-visit for any self-respecting foodie. There are also several offices within the complex.
American Museum of Natural History
Measuring over two million square feet and comprised of 27 interconnected buildings, the AMNH is one of the largest museums in the world. Visitors here embark on an educational journey that includes everything from human origins to biodiversity to planetary science – as well as an incredible fossil collection.
National September 11 Memorial & Museum
This memorial is built on the grounds of the WTC site in lower Manhattan, and honors those who lost their lives in the World Trade Center attacks of 1993 and 2001. The Museum features over 100,000 square feet of moving exhibits, Including artifacts and multimedia presentations.
Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
A gift to the United States from France, the Statue of Liberty is synonymous with the city, and a symbol of the promise that New York offers those who reach its shores. Board a ferry to Liberty Island to tour the statue, and spend time at the Immigration Museum on Ellis Island.
